Borrow with confidence

Plain-language guides to help you make better credit decisions.

Understanding APR

The annual percentage rate combines interest and fees into one yearly figure, so you can compare offers fairly.

How EMI is calculated

EMI = P × r × (1+r)^n ÷ ((1+r)^n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly rate and n is the number of months. At zero interest, EMI is P ÷ n. Longer tenure can reduce the EMI while increasing total interest.

Improving your credit score

Pay on time, keep card usage low, avoid many applications in a short period and check your report for errors.

Reading a Key Fact Statement

The KFS lists the APR, all charges, repayment schedule and cooling-off period. Read it before you accept.

Spotting loan fraud

Never pay upfront fees to unknown agents. Genuine lenders disburse directly to your bank account and never ask for your OTP over the phone.
